Along the Rio Grande, nestled between the U.S. and Mexican border, the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas carries a story shaped by family, community, spirituality, and a deep connection to nature. Often known as citizens of two nations, the people of the Tribe honor their ancestors through traditions rooted in resilience, independence, and harmony with the land.

ZDS was tasked with creating guestroom experiences that reflect this history with care. Through updated FF&E, artwork, and interior details, the design celebrates the people, place, and spirit behind the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Hotel.

The result is a hospitality experience that feels grounded, meaningful, and deeply connected to cultural identity.
