Surrounded by grand and traditional neighboring buildings, the project called for a careful architectural response. Rather than imitating its context, the design respects the scale, proportion, and material character of the surrounding streetscape while introducing a distinct identity of its own.
Crafted articulation, refined detailing, and moments of visual relief help the building feel at home within the city fabric while offering a contemporary hotel experience. The result is a hospitality environment that balances brand expression with sensitivity to place, creating a structure that feels both rooted and renewed in downtown Providence.
